Neutral Look

I decided to wear a subtle, neutral-toned look today. I really like the way it turned out.

Here's how I created this look:

  • DHC Velvet Skin Coat
  • Dr. Brandt Pores No More
  • Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation in Fair
  • Bare Escentuals Warmth
  • Clinique blush in Aglow
  • MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
  • MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC25 patted around the lips only

    • Urban Decay Primer Potion all over upper lid and beneath lower lash line
    • Tarte Dark Circle Defnese under eyes, with Sweet Libertine Paraben-Free Undereye Concealer in Yellow patted on the darkest part of the undereye circle
    • Nyx Dandy palette -- I used the two lightest colors blended together over my eyelid
    • MAC Brule brushed over the entire upper lid from lash to brow, over the Nyx colors
    • MAC Brun under lower lashes
    • MAC Behold in crease
    • L'Oreal Raven in outer crease
    • MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack lining upper lid
    • Estee Lauder Magna Scopic Mascara in black on lower lashes
    • Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Mascara in black on upper lashes
    • Anastasia Brow Powder in Brunette

    • Benefit Lip Plump
    • Elizabeth Arden Smooth Line Lip Pencil in Taupe
    • Morgana Cryptoria Lip Balm in Nudist
    • Lorac Lip Polish in Gold 7

In addition, I'm wearing Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's limited edition scent, Silver Phoenix. It's such a beautiful scent, perfect for a cool, rainy fall day. It's described as "Opalescent orris shimmering through a blend of mallow, moonflower, wild pear, iris, starwort, juniper, and mugwort." The orris, iris, and moonflower are the strongest notes on me, and "shimmering" is a perfect way to describe it. It reminds me a bit of moonlight reflect on the tips of gentle surface ripples on a lake. It's one of my favorite autumnal scents.
