EOTD: Purple & Blue Duchrome with Darling Girl Cosmetics

I purchased this.
PR samples.

Hi everyone! Whew! It's been a fun week for me. Last weekend, I attended Denver Comic Con with my friend Wendi from Makeup Zombie blog, and on Tuesday, my husband and I went to see Eddie Izzard perform. We laughed so hard!

I did this eye of the day the other day using an absolutely gorgeous GWP (gift with purchase) shade from Darling Girl Cosmetics called "Wrecking Ball." Even though this color is no longer available (so sad!), you could get a similar look if you used Basket Case, Equestrian Couture, Faux Pas, or Seven Days Later, which are all gorgeous duochromes.

ETA: Susan of Darling Girl is going to try to make this a permanent shade if the ingredients are all available to her. Keep an eye out for a permanent listing in her shop soon!

I know I've mostly posted looks this month using Darling Girl. That's partly because Darling Girl is so awesome and I've had so many gorgeous new colors to play with. I have some really pretty products from other companies that I plan on showcasing in the coming weeks, too, but this will always be a pretty Darling Girl-heavy blog, FYI. If I could only use one makeup company for the rest of my life, it would most definitely be Darling Girl, there's no doubt about it!

EOTD with Anastasia Pink Champagne Eyeshadow

I purchased this.

I recently purchased my first Anastasia Beverly Hills eye shadow, Pink Champagne. Now I want to get all of the ABH eye shadows! It's so pigmented and buttery smooth and just super gorgeous. I'm obsessed with it and haven't worn any other primary color since I got it. What the pictures below don't capture (sadly!) is the intense sparkle in the ABH Pink Champagne eyeshadow. It's not full-on glittery, but it's incredibly sparkly, almost too the point that I wondered if it were "too much" for the office. I decided that even for the office there's no such thing as too much sparkle and wore it to work anyway.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance all around eye area
Tarte Tartelette Palette:
  - Free Spirit mixed with Caregiver on brow bone and on lower lid
  - Force of Nature mixed with Natural Beauty to transition in crease and on lower lid

Swatches: "Wicked Is Coming" Sneak Peek from Darling Girl Cosmetics

PR samples.

Darling Girl Cosmetics is coming out with another small collection inspired by Once Upon A Time. This time, the collection is inspired by the villains of the show. The "Wicked Is Coming" collection will be available on May 30 and will also include a Pucker Paint. Today, I have swatches of the eyeshadows from this collection.

L-R: The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, Love Is Weakness, Dearie

L-R: The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, Love Is Weakness, Dearie

I am loving the colors in this mini-collection! They are all so rich and pigmented and absolutely gorgeous. Love Is Weakness is an absolutely perfect representation of The Evil Queen/Regina, who is my favorite character on the show. I adore the deep, rich gold hues of the shade created to represent Mr. Gold. I don't typically get excited about green shades, so surprisingly, my favorite of the three is The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. It's such a beautiful shade of green, unlike any other green eye shadow I own.

Don't forget to stalk Darling Girl's website on May 30 for this collection!

EOTD: Shimmery Champagne Spice with Catrice and Morphe

I purchased this.

I wore this look today using champagne and spice shades. I know most people think of autumn when they think of spice shades, but I wore this with a white top and a some pink-and-orange accessories, and I thought it worked well as a neutral look for springtime. I think this is a perfect neutral look for office wear.

EOTD: Pink and Brown with Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette

I purchased this.
PR samples.

I did this look the other day and liked it so much I did it again and took photos this time.

I am really frustrated by the discoloration I have around the inner part of my eye between the tear duct and inner edge of my brow. I seem to be able to do nothing to correct or conceal it and it looks really strong in photos, especially. If anyone has any tips, I would really appreciate them! The discoloration is so dark today that it looks like I have a bruise there.

Aside from that, I really love these colors. I've been playing with my Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette all week and am really blown away by the quality of their eyeshadows--they're super pigmented, blend so easily, last all day, and they have a gorgeous range of shades. I picked up three brushes, too, and they're so dense and soft. I need to get more!
